I just want to share this PIC16F887 demo board. Nothing special. This is just an "another simple demo board".

It has the following features:

1)   8 bit LED display ( w/ auxiliary output pins )
2)   Four seven segment displays ( multiplexed )
3)   PWM on an LED ( w/ auxiliary output pin )
4)   ADC using a Pot ( w/ an auxiliary input pin )
5)   Four input push buttons ( w/ auxiliary input pins )
6)   UART
7)   Header for LCD
8.)  ICSP
9)   Bootloader
10) USB powered
11) Software controlled reset for the mcu
12) PCB markings ( useful for easy coding and usage)

I intend this board for complete beginners. Since the bootloader doesn't need a separate programmer. Doing a very simple hack on the USB-to-Serial made this a plug-and-play board. It can be used
both on laptops or PCs.
Beginners should take advantage of the very user-friendly IDE and libraries of mikroC.
That is why I am using it's bootloader. After being familiar with the board and the
PIC mcu in general, the user can then try other compiler or even assembler.
I added a vb6 application for software reset of the mcu.
I will soon post some mikroC codes I made with this board.










This board still needs a lot of improvement. I am still confused on what to use on the auxiliary pins. The header pins I used for the LCD and ICSP pins comes from an old floppy. A very common disadvantage for being in the province..   Undecided Lips sealed Embarrassed

Toner transfer lang sir. Yun lang available na PCB dito sa amin. Maputi yung sa opposite sa copper side. Kaya masarap mapag plansahan. Grin Grin

FR-4 is copper pa rin yung kabila nyan...Grin

FR = Fire retardant/resistant materials not like the old phenolic..

hirap to idrill..kadalasan yung ordinary bit is good for 8-10 holes lng..Sad

Ibibigay ko yan sa school namin para at least may mapaglaruan na sila without needing a programmer. At madali lang i-setup dahil naka USB na. Pero need pa rin madagdagan ng features, sana makabigay pa po kaayo ng mga advise kung ano pa dapat idagdag sis. Salamat po.
