Auto light dimmer for light posts.

Just compute if how many lightposts we have and if we implement this, ilang watts ang ma-save natin.

Lightposts runs from sunset hangang sunrise, kasi may mga sensor na ang lightposts, so that is around 10 to 12 hours, if you can save around 25% energy per light post, so compute mo sa buong Metro Manila ang pwede matipid.

PIR sensors detect infrared movements.
This is commonly used in auto-light lamps when there is movement.

A suggestion is to put the sensor of the lightpost to before and next post.
This way when a person is walking towards it, the light is always ahead of him.

OT
di ba mas ok ang magnetic sensor? i mean it's outdoor and unless self cleaning ung tapat nang ir...
also... what if kung may mag vandal nang ir sensor? (masamang biro na lagyan nang electrical tape)
much more interesting gawin ang magnetic sensor right? capacitive ata term dun... i don't know.

another thing is paano hindi masisira yung starter constantly on and off...
and long start up times... high pressure sodium lamps... sna low power standby mode... magdidim lang sya...
or don't user high pressure sodium lamps at all... LED i think...

You can experiment on the different types of sensors, but please don't forget that you are doing this not only on a single lightpost but a series of them.

The best thing for me is to have around 5 lightposts in checking the design, anywhere below that 5 I think will give you inconclusive results on how your system will work.
