FYI kasi dati mga guys Engr.marciano was tasked with the maitenance of the IECEP website.. since he died wala pa atang naatasan magtake-over ng operation. Sa totoo lang as IECEP members by default, naghihinayang ako sa website natin na wala man lang mayadong kulay at art. di man lng attractive as a website talo pa ng mga friendster account natin. hehehe.. baka mayron dyan sa forum na magaling sa webdesign.. maybe we can suggest and submit an improvement to the iecep BOD's.. You can contact (PM) me, kung may idea kayo at tulungan nating makarating sa kanila sa itaas.

Cry

Pukneneng. Kailangan ko pa raw i renew ang membership ko sa IECEP bago ma renew at mag pa change from ECE- to electronics eng sa PRC. (Even though my iecep membership is still valid up to this month, hindi nakalagay ang validity period sa membership certificate. No I don't have an iecep ID because you have to process it in Cebu). I went to my alma mater and the ECE department head (who is a friend of mine) says that the only option for ECEs here in our city to renew our IECEP membership is in the nearest regional chapter in Cebu.

WALANG LOCAL IECEP CHAPTER DITO SA ILOILO!!! WALA RING OPTION TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP ONLINE!!!  Angry Angry Angry Angry

Mapipilitan talaga akong magpa lbc ng forms ko tapos pay through bank deposit.  Angry

Ubos na ang leave ko for this year   Angry. I don't begrudge PRC for making us comply with the Accredited organization's requirements but this is unfair for us who aren't based near any Regional Chapters. I thought I could finish everything today. Masyado naman akong optimistic.

Isa lang ba talaga ang accredited organization for ECEs? I am really frustrated.

-Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if nag EE na lang ako instead of ECE.   Wink

The conversion is actually the important part. Kasi dapat surrender mo yung board certificate mo at yung prc id na electronics and communications engineer pa ang nakasulat. Kasi rendered invalid na raw yan due to the new law. Much better siguro if you inquire sa nearest PRC office sa inyo Smiley para sigurado sa date. Nagkataon lang kasi na this year mageexpire ang license ko kaya diretso ako conversion and renewal. I'll have to make sure with regards to the actual deadline sa conversion pa.

Grin

Anyway if there are any IECEP officers who are members of this forum, pwede bang magtanong kung ano ang mga options ko? And also, wala bang "lifetime member" na option?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

My gripe is really with IECEP. I never got the feeling na active ang organization outside of Manila. Parang it just exists para magcomply sa "acredited organization" na requirement ng PRC.

The institute has to find ways to make their membership renewal easier.

I am not an officer pero ang pagkakaalam ko meron ngang lifetime membership, pero may minimum years of relevant experience, if im not mistaken eh 5 years yata or 7, basta parang ganon, tapos 3500 lang yata ang fee for that.

oo nga Grin  Grin  Grin pero share ko lang, siguro sinuwerte lang din ako, kasi with the help of Iecep napadali ung aking conversion. nakapag file ako nung merong event ung iecep sa ntc kaya ayun no sweat! hehehe. walang pila!

I guess mas kailangan nila iintensify ung efforts nila to reach out to other members like you na nasa ibang mga regions.

Fyis:
1.  The IECEP website has been running with almost no downtime since Oct 2008
     iecep.ph
2.  There is already an online payment.
3.  There is a new simple requirement for lifetime membership at iecep.  You only need to be PECE and a lifetime membership fee of P5,000

I tried to browse the site and there is an online registration. It will ask for scanned documents like PRC ID, exam results, etc. Thanks...
