Mark, there two main sections in the rc radio to control anything.  The ENCODER at RF section sa TX and the DECODER SA RX. Pero and problemo, the CP is controlled by computers ns nasa encoder niya and codes.  kayam, di pwede itong approach.  Now, what cna be done is to use TONES (yung touchtone standards). Kaya lang lang , it will going backwards with each tone closing a relay lang.  Di natin magamit ng propo sevos.  To control bombs, sinabi mo. Well, isang putok lang yon, tapos na.  To control a robot from afar is something else.  yan yung maga manless surveillance drafgt ng Kano. The crudest is pag nag ring,may attached na ampli dun which will close a relay and fire up a detonator. Delikado.  Next level, magring, may device to simulate answer, then a tone is send which is recognizable by a tone decoder, BANG!  next, hinde isang tone, series of tones in an order.  Well, tones are no problems to send.  You can even talk, right?  now to send something like a binary code is more complex.

     I can custombuild controllers good up to a mile on the air or longer using 2 meter radios, yung mga icoms.  Example, to control a repeater sa bundok. We can go up to 8 servosor just on off relays. Or to control the lights in a billboard remotely.

The best you can come up with is using a CP na symbian ang OS and with bluetooth I guess,

Pwede rin DTMF application, One of my friend use this on his design project "Powerhouse". Ok nga yung project nya kaso pag my tumawag na iba tapos na pindot, patay na... Di nya nalagyan ng password and pag trigger kasi wala narin kasi kaming time nun, malapit na defence kaya no need na to reprogram ang chips... baka magloko pa...

namatay na itong thread. Buhayin natin. the most prctical approach is to use the RC radios.  yung 2 channel, P2k walang pang servo.Maramni ako nyan.  i am publishing a project in making your own transmitter and receiver, servos and ESC to boot. We can use 27, 35,40,72.75 megs.  We can make one with 8 channels. that should be more than enought to contol a robot. In process is my robot, about 3 feet tall. Dual motor to propel and steer, one channel each na may EDC each. DC motor lang. RC radio is the best, sky is hte limit sa complexity and rc radio.  may $2,000 radio pa nga. ang 2.4 gigs ngayon nasa P8k at 17k.(DX6 and DX7).

     forger cellphones and bluetooth. On paper lang yan, madugo and programming kailangan. Our motto should be Do projects na achievable. parang thesis yan, wag daw pumili yung gustong gustong mongtopic.

     you can consult me anytime on RC radio system.

.. amateur po kasi aq sa radio technology and this is none of my course but hobby q po ang electronics at isa ito sa gusto kong matutunan kea dito aq sa net kumokonsulta... hope you might help me...

@bk

@unososix
