If ever I would have a chance to (BUY) the PICKIT2 Sir Marce's selling, what should I use and learn to make a HEX file???

i been reading stuffs here and I'm CONFUSED what to use,

during my microcontroller subject I used BasicStamp2's Pbasic can I use that too?

kadalasan MPLAB ang gamit. Free software yan from microchip. You can then write your code in MPLAB is assembly or C. When you compile/build the program, the hex file is created.

Yung pickit2 maganda yan since builtin na rin yan sa MPLAB. After you build, you can download the program immediately via pickit2

the SDCC is an open source compiler... compiler sya, meaning sya ang magtatransform nung program mo into machine code... for PIC micro, we use HEX file. kapag nakapagcompile ka sucessfully, maggegerate ang compiler ng HEX file.

Ngayon, maraming compiler in C language alone. microC, sdcc, CCS C, hitech C... madami pa.
meron din BASIC language...

but i suggest you make use of C, hitech C in particular. Grin

it is not the HEX we must be concerned of, it is the program itself. hehehe;D <---

to add to sister paranz post, MPLAB could control PIKIT2. Also there is a separate program for it. makukuha mo din yung sa microchip. Using the separate software, other functions of pikit2 will be availble. Grin

So pede na po ako gumawa ng program kahit wala po akong PIKIT2?

Macocompile ko na rin  po ba? pero dko nga lang matatry kasi wala pa akong PIKIT2?

^ to create a PIC program, all you need is MPLAB (as well as the assembler and/or C compiler).

Ang pickit2, kailangan mo lang yan para matransfer ang ginawa mong program sa MPLAB to the PIC microcontroller IC.
