anyways, its called subnet

Which is best described like this HOST/Subnet

Unfortunately though, /20 subnet is valid only for class C IP Addresses which means di acceptable in this situation.

note that with 20 as mask you will get a sub mask of 255.255.240.0 since you borrow 20 bits on your subnet

but in a typical Class B IP Address it would generate 4096 nodes with 4094 usable IPs. Hehe

Hmm..

128.1.0.0/20 you can have a maximum of 16 subnets each subnets with 4094 usable IP



Subnet IP/Network Address:     128.1.0.0
IP Range:                              128.1.0.1 - 128.1.15.254
Broadcast Address:                 128.1.15.255
