mahirap talga... hehehe parang sin cos cos sin, tapos cos cos sin sin.
saunang tingin di mo yan mahahalata kung ano yan!
bbench, you may refer to wikipedia lalo na kung mga trigonometric functions lang naman....
good luck sa exam mo!:)

hi bbench
arc cot is the inverse of cotangent, since 1/tan(x) =cot (x) or = cos(x)/sin(x)
then arc cot (x) or 1/cot(x)= tan(x) or = sin(x)/cos(x)
arc_cot(x) is not equal to 1/cot(x) because the identity is : cot(angle) = b/a so arc_cot(b/a) = angle 1/cot(x) is btw, tan(x) The answer can be deduced from here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_trigonometric_identitieswhich is: arc_cot(x) = 1/arc_tan(x) = 2/(i * ln ((i+x) / (i - x)))

talaga?! cotangent lang yan! tingnan mo ito: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigonometric_functionsmakikita natin na ang cotangent is equal to the inverse of tangent. e di inverse ng cotangent is 1/cot = 1/(1/cot) hala... pati ako nalilito na din! hehehe

Are you sure "1/tan" is the answer? Who told you this? Then answer of arc_cot function is the ANGLE and NOT the ratio. i.e. sin(ANGLE) = a/c cos(ANGLE)=b/c tan(ANGLE)=a/b cot(ANGLE) = b/a and arcsin(a/c) = ANGLE arccos(b/c) = ANGLE arctan(a/b) = ANGLE ** arccot(b/a) = ANGLE ** You maybe confused with the identity : cot(ANGLE) = 1/tan(ANGLE) But this is completely different from arc_cot() function that is the INVERSE function and NOT the reciprocal. My post above should be correct answer.
