There are still some compatibility issues kasi with MS office and openoffice.  If you created a document in MS Office and youedit it open office, pag edit mo ulit sa MS office magkakaproblema na.  Ewan ko lang ngayon as I haven't done and cross-platyform editing of files in a long while.  Ang pagkaka-alam ko kasi, inopen na ni MS ang ms office format as a candidate for the international open document format.

di pa pala ako nakakasagot dito Grin

sa company namin puro MS Office sila. ako naka openoffice (latest version) because of the following reason:
1. no need for PDF distiller
2. free
3. there is an OpenOffice draw where I import my schematic from eagle and print directly to PDF
4. andali gumawa ng PDFs with bookmarks sa tabi (very good for documentation purpose)

Microsoft Office - the best ang latest version nila. kaya lang, mahal.
Open Office - libre, active community development, pwede ma tweak to your liking.
Microsoft Office Excel - powerful talaga
For business applications, excel is king.

It all comes down to what you can afford and what works for you, di ba? Cheesy

Ung office 2007 ba ung sinasabi mo? kasi ang format na ng MSoffice 2007 is OOXML unlike ung mga nauna binary file format ang ginagamit, if you will notice pag nagsave ka in this format .docx ang  file ext. Bale ginagamit nya ung ZIP file container, each portion ng document mo eh saved as separate xml file kaya pag nagsave ka using OOXML compared to binary format mas maliit ung file kht tad tad ng pictures pa doc mo. tapos pag nag kaerror somewhere in a particular part ng doc mo mareretreive mo parin ung document d tulad ng dati d mo na talaga maoopen ung buong file mo.   Actually itong OOXML is going through an ISO standardization process ngayon, kaya madaming nagtataas ng kilay sa issue nito, pinasok kasi as Fast track sa ISO nagtataka lang ang karamihan kasi bakit minamadali eh ung spcifications na pinasa nila sa ISO last year may 3500 consolidated comments(sa flaws ng format nila) around the world. 7 ang comments na pinadala ng Philippines, nagpromise ang ECMA to resolve all these issues na hinihintay ng lahat ngayon, then  magvovote ang countries kung yes or no! late march or early april phil will have to decide whether to vote a yes or a no  to this...

may advantage at may dis advantage cla pareho.

OpenOffice= walang bayad kasi open source ang linux kaya lang pag ang OS mo linux  some of the online games di pwede install ang mga online games most of them kasi windows base.

so...gamit ko ngayun MS office sa home edition

may windows version din ang OpenOffice. Meron din silang portable version for usb.  Yan gamit namin dito sa office together with xp home edition. Cost cutting measures plus takot silang ma raid kami ng OMB.   Grin

Grin

cheers.
