Sa mundo ng engineering sa panahon ngayon kahit magaling tayo totally sa technical skills and theory need parin natin ng non-technical skills like accounting, financial management etc.

mahalaga talaga sa buhay 'yun. para maging totally successful dapat well rounded ang personality natin.
dati walang CTO's ang mga company, ang Research hiwalay sa business side. pero ang nangyayari, madaming research na nagiging laruan na lang ng mga researcher. dito nila napag-isipan na kailangan may Engineer/Tech Head na in touch with the business side. para hindi lahat ng pinapag-aralan ay hanggang sa laboratory na lang.

i enjoyed the Managerial Accounting subject when i took up my masters. Marami ako natutunan doon about finances. From time to time binabasa ko pa rin yung textbook namin.

What's important is you have a balance of your technical skills and your soft skills. As your career progresses, it doesn't matter if you're on the technical or financial/sales side of things ..... sa management din ang bagsak mo (pwera na lang if you really have no ambition) and more and more soft skills are needed than technical skills.
