Section 20. Registration without Examination for Electronics Technicians. -Within five (5) years after the effectivity of this Act, the Board shall issue Certificates of Registration and Professional Identification Cards without examination to applicants for registration as Electronics Technicians who shall present evidence or other proof satisfactory to the Board that:

(a) He/She is a graduate of at least a two-year Associate, Technician, Trade or Vocational course in Electronics as certified by the TESDA, or that he/she has completed at least the minimum third-year equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering or Electronics Engineering program according to CHED guidelines, or, subject to the evaluation of the Board, an equivalent and/or related formal or non-formal course or program from any school, institute, college, university or training institution recognized by the Government or the State where it is established, and

(b) He/She has rendered at least seven (7) years (inclusive or aggregate) of active self-practice and/or employment either in the Government or private sector, indicating therein his/her specific duties and responsibilities, relevant accomplishments, the complete names and addresses of clients and companies or persons worked for, as well as the names and positions of immediate superiors.

The above submittals shall be accompanied by a certification from at least three (3) registered Professional Electronics Engineers vouching for the integrity, technical capability and good moral character of the applicant.

@brian_po,magsy and graSS,m8's thanks for the info and updates.actually,after completing the 3yrs.electronics tech.course eh nag take kami ng exam sa NMYC kaso wala man lmang intresado @ nagfollow-up sa amin ng result and even a single notification from national manpower & youth council wala kming nareceive and finally,nagwork na agad ako til now d2 sa overseas as instrument technician so mdyo d na ako updated sa mga ece/ntc laws pertaining to license.once again,thanks very much.........

wala po nun, only after you pass the board exam you can become a license ECE....

pero if you are a practicing GRCO before the implementation of RA5734 "the old ECE law" way back in the time of MArcos.. then ngaun po ay ENGINEER  na dapat kayo.. at malamang ang ECE license mo ay nasa no. 001-020.. AsTEEGG!!!

Yun po yung favorable na LAW nuon sa mga practicing electronics technician at pati nga mga EE na ang work ay electronics related naging mga unang ECE.. sila sir marciano, maam quintero, sir calupitan.. and many more.. buti pa sila.. no board exam pa nun.

Mga 16 years na mahigit ang expereince ko sa electronics pupuwede pa kaya akong mag take ng exam para sa Radio License ng NTC o pupuwede na akong mag-pa-registered as an engineer? Paki-advise lang ako. Thank you!!!

Sir para mo maliwanagan kayo mabuti e search nyo po ang RA 9292. Nandun lahat ng provisions. About nman sa NTC d ko rin alam kng ano reuirement nila. Kasi po yung mga Licensed ECE's kng gus2 ng Radio Operator Cert. kelangan pa rin mg.exam..

ako nakakuha na ng PRC LICENSE as PROFESSIONAL ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN, sa may may exam na sa PRC.....matagal ko ng naiPOST yang RA9292 dito di ninyo pinansin kaya pasensyahan tayo kung mag EXAM na kayo. may GUIDELINES ako at DOCUMENT COPY mh RA9292 pati na yung IRR na release last OCT. 2007 kaya april 2008 nagsimula ang applicaation sa PRC at nakuha namin ang license sa PRC last Nov. 2008, for more details just call or text me at 09158455504
