since the mass production and use of cellphones i think namatay na yata ang mga users ng ham radio or citizen's band radio. ano sa tingin ninyo?

I have been a ham in the 90's. Only class "D", I don't pass my Morse test.

My interest was on packet radio. AX25.
Very interesting. One could relay packets thru digipeaters.
I could even reach Baguio and communicate with Hams there then with just hopping thru digipeaters.

Internet was not popular then, so mails are also passed by packet radio.
My foreign Ham friend living in Cebu can have his mail within a day.

meron pa, tulad ko, member ako ng CANINE Amateur Radio Club-Cebu, NTC Official Call Sign ko ay DY7-FLT, Fancy call ko ay Long Travel, LT or Lima Tango.  Dami naming radio operation tulad ng sinulog, pedro calungsod at iba pa.  Ngayong last week of march punta kami ng bohol for the CVIRAA (Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association).  Siyempre gumagamit din kami ng celphone as an alternative.  Sa base namin put up den kami ng land line

Glad to have a fellow cebuano ham here.
My callsign before was DY7LBN. But I have not renewed it.
I was a member of LARSEN, Lapulapu Amateur Radio Service and Emergency Network.
I think the group are still active now but not me. I am busy nowadays.

Personally, nakatago pa rin  2m and 40m radio, in case when I needed, nandyan lang.
