Good evening sirs. I just wabt to ask if anyone here knows where I can buy a cheap but nice digital sound decoder. I  am planning on installing this on my PC sound output (output from Creative SoundCard -> Digital Sound Decoder -> Altec Digital Sound Input). In case any among you sirs know, plase indicate also price estimate. I've asked around audio shops but i guess luck is not on my side. Thanks in advance sirs.

Sir ferds, yun po kasing speaker system ko meron sya saksakan na nakalagay digital input, isang saksakan po yun. yun po kasing analog input nya yun yung 6 na saksakan, yung direkta galing sa analog output ng sound card na gagamitan ng 6 cables. Ito yun center, subwoofer, Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, Rear Right. Correct me if i'm wrong sir sa analization ko bout digital and analog sound input/output. Saan kaya merong decoder ng analog output from my sound card so i can utilize the digital input of my speaker system? Thanks in advance

question: yang digital output ba, yan yung gumagamit ng optical cable? tulad yan ba nung ginagamit sa pagtransfer ng audio sa minidisc(sony)?

you need a  sound card with digital output to be able to use your altec lansing speaker digital  input

  Eto maganda - Creative Decoder DDTS-100 - search mo na lang e-bay kung may available.

I believe your Altec only needs to be connected to the SPDIF output of your Creative sound card if it has one. Hence, you only have to build the proper cable  (or an optical interface if the Altec needs it).
