Just like norton
anti virus at internet security..

Tips;
1. same size, sector, heads
2. check manufactured date and series number
3. same storage capacity at RPM

Up to 1 terabyte kaya para iformat.

Good Evening, Everybody... I'm Kuya Marc, better known as Marcos Miranda, the founder and owner of MirandaSoft. In 1992, I founded MirandaSoft Computer Services in Seattle, Washington, USA. The name, MirandaSoft, is the combination of Miranda Software (from MirandaSoft Software Services). MirandaSoft has always been, and always will be a private company, specializing in proprietary work. In Philippines, MirandaSoft is known as MCRS Philippines. MCRS stands for MirandaSoft Computer Repair Shop, but I was never a "shop"; the MirandaSoft name was already taken, according to DTI. The name, "MirandaSoft" is trademarked and patented to me, (Unfortunately, DTI fails to recognize international patents and trademarks.)

My computer expertise began as my hobby in 1980, when I was only 10 years ago. Since then, I've had extensive, on-hands training, with many companies, long before those books printed after the year 2000, ever existed.

After I arrived, here in Metro Manila, Philippines in 2006, I quickly realized too many people are repairing computers; many have learned from books, others are fresh graduates. When I've seen too many children, under 16 years old, repairing computers, I figured that I can not compete, so I gave up repairing computers.

The work of MirandaSoft (a.k.a. "My Work") is proprietary. When I worked with other computer technicians, they complained because I didn't repair computers like they did. I performed my own diagnostics which allowed me to use my own flowchart, which allowed me to obtain immediate solutions in the shortest amount of time, with minimal or zero errors. In the USA, only a few people could pay the price for "Computer Repair in 30 minutes or it's FREE" promotion. That was a $100 guaranteed repair service, that, by paying an additional $100 gets me repairing the computer, immediately.

Nowadays, when someone ask me to fix their computer, I just tell them, "Find someone else to fix your computer, because I'm too expensive." When they ask me how much I charge, I say, "5,000 Pesos and your computer is repaired in 30 minutes, guaranteed, and my work is guaranteed for 30 days, unless voided by another technician." Apparently, nobody in Metro Manila can afford to pay me, and so I no longer advertise that I do computer repair.

There are just too many computer technicians, here, in Philippines. Rather than competing, I just observe their working environment and make my own judgements. Generally, if I like their work, I want their contact information. I can't tell, when that day will happen, when I can't fix my own computers. Hopefully, that day will not be soon.

Kuya Marc
