Mechatronics is centred on mechanics, electronics, control engineering, computing, molecular engineering (from nanochemistry and biology) which, combined, make possible the generation of simpler, more economical, reliable and versatile systems. The portmanteau "Mechatronics" was first coined by Mr. Tetsuro Mori, a senior engineer of the Japanese company Yaskawa, in 1969. Mechatronics may alternatively be referred to as "electromechanical systems" or less often as "control and automation engineering".

ako po alectromechanical po ako [course]

1] electrical - building wiring, motor controlls, transformer coil design, motor rewinding
2] electronics - basic, digital, power, sensor tech., PLC
3] mechanical - milling, turning, electro-pneumatics, hydraulics,

kaya tinawag na electronemchanical dahil sa 3 na yan. pero sa ibang country [Engineering field- Mechatronic/Electromechanical]

mechatronics... combination of mechanical, electrical, electronics... Part of this course is studying pneumatics, electro-pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, plc, inverters, scada. Another term is Industrial Automation.
