 Wink
good morning everyone!

the digital thermometer will be supplied by the PHIVOLCS... our concern is the transmission of data through the GSM network...

feasible po ba ito? any suggestions?   Embarrassed
gusto pa sana namin magpropose ng ibang title, kaso ipapareconvene pa ung panel..which is pahirapan pa daw...so baka ituloy na lang namin to...
pls reply po kau sa post ko...

thanks and more power!
pang sweep to.. Grin
(nabura ung una kong post... Cry)

Oo feasible yan at possible so umpisahan mo na gawin project mo, kasi I am telling you wala mag-spoon feed dito sayo.

ung imomonitor nya ung maga traffic violations ng mga sasakyan through rf i.d. system?

heheh

kaso mas mahirap yata to e... Cool

^ok na yung monitoring system mo, you just have to devise a plan on how will it withstand high temperatures, yung sending ng data via GSM follow suit, madli nalang yun basta may microcontroller ka tas cellphone or GSM Module (depende kung merong signal sa may bulkan). issue rin yung source of power, kasi alangan namang babalikan mo cya regularly to change batteries. baka gawin mo cyang thermal powered (pano to?) o di kaya ay solar powered....

2 layers of enclosure will greatly help reducing the ambient inside the chassis.

tama si flippy. you also have to consider power sources at kung battery 'to na walang methods to recharge, kailangan niyo namang i-consider ang sleep modes ng MCU tapos kung ano ang self discharge rate ng battery (but this will never last for 3 years, kailangan na magpalit ng battery). a small solar charger may already be fit for the project (baka pwede na 'yung nabibili sa CD-R King).

we did consider solar powered na lang ung device...

anu po ung "sleep mode" ng mcu? Tongue

naghahanap nga kami ng high temp polymers..kaso avialable yata sa abroad lahat e...
ung mga mcu naman up to 105degree celsius lang ung operating temp nila...

^eh diba 80C yung requirement, so may leeway ka na, pero you still have to enclose it in a chassis

sleep mode - parang standby mode ng most TV's, pag pinatay mo tas nakasaksak pa...off nga cya pero nagcoconsume pa rin cya ng minimal power. remember na periodic ka nagsasample, so gusto mong nakasleep mode cya pag idle i.e. di nagsasample. please read the datasheet of your desired mcu for more info...
