I noticed that some members are too hesitant to speak their mind. I suspect some are even intimidated when a knowledgeable person posts his answers or ideas, accepting it as sort of gospel of truth.

This is not good  .Well, to tell you the truth, experts are, maybe,  ?maraming alam?, pero sigurado ako na meron din alam ang ?walang alam? na di alam ni expert.  Scrutinize their posts, ask questions. If you think may mali sa idea nila, let them know. Criticize but do not ridicule.  I don?t see anything wrong with criticizing somebody else?s idea as long you deliver it with respect.  Experts are people, and they too commit mistakes.

Personally, I believe this forum will serve its purpose well if the so called ?walang alam? (akala nyo lang yan) posts their opinion and ideas without fear.  Do you know that a lot of brilliant new ideas came from people without experience or given by people who are outside (their field of expertise)?  Experts are sometimes cursed by too much knowledge in their field, so that, di pa nila nasusubukan, nasa isip kaagad nila di pwede. Non experts are more capable of thinking out-of-the box. 

Pag naging two way na ang exchange of ideas, then we all start learning.

Don't ever think that just because you are younger, you can not be better than those ahead of you. In fact you who belong to the new generation SHOULD strive to be better than the old generation. Otherwise there will be no pogress. While our classmates at the top of the class may have that nice piece of paper that says how intelligent they are... just remember that piece of paper is just a proof that they have potential. It is not a guarantee of success. Life after school is a totally different ball game. The new generation today is very lucky - you have the internet and you have forums like the elab forum. So get the most out of it. Just ask questions. Keep asking... As long as you hunger for knowledge, the answers will keep coming... BUT always evaluate the answers. Just because they came from somebody considered as "expert" it does not mean that these answers are correct or relevant.

I think hindi sila madamot. Ayaw lang nila i-spoon feed ang ibang nagtatanong.
Just take one example - merong nag post - requesting a website kung saan
daw makita nya ang explanation of something. Why ask? Pwede naman sya mag
google on his own. Sana man lang subukan muna to discover things on his own.
Hindi yung hingi ng tulong kaagad. Ibig sabihin help yourself first before asking for help.

If you look around us you will find that those who are self-driven to discover things
on their own - learn faster, grow faster, earn more - than those who simply ask questions

Pero  meron lang kasi akong nbabasa dito na replies sa mga magagandang tanong na hindi sinasagot ung question but instead gnagwang joke na lng or very general ung answer. 
Mas magnda siguro na sagutin na lng ng derecho or maybgay ng sugestion regarding kung panu makakuha ng info about a certain subject.  By that way, mas gaganda ung usapan regarding dun sa tanung or issue. Ms magiging well informed ang lahat na interesado.

minsan kasi may drawback ang pagsagot ng mga ganyang question most especially if "google" can give you thousands of answers.. yeah alam po naten na masmagandang magtanong sa forum kasi based sa experience at direct or easy to understand ang ibang explanation, but then again it always led to 'spoonfeeding', di rin naten masisisi yung ibang masters dito kung hints lang ang sagot na ibinigay... parang "this is it, i gave you a clue, then do your part to research and study for it" di yung papaliwanag ko, may acronym lang na di naintindihan, tanong din agad... =)

alam naman nateng lahat na masmadaling makakuha ng sagot if magreresearch muna tayo instead na ipost sa forum, di mahahang yung question mo..ayt?=)

depende din po kasi sa tanong at sa approach ng member,, we cant defend ourselves being a newbie, a student or just a hobbyist... it is more on discipline i guess.. practice lang^_^
