morning po mga sir! i'm writing in behalf of my friend from tup taguig:

ung project po kasi nila ay 2ngkol sa automation.. ang routine ng project nila ay ganito..

1. mgte2xt po sila gmit ang 1 phone as the remote device for the controller
2. once na nkarecieve ng message ang phone nila n nkakabit sa controller pa2tayin nito ang kuryente ng bahay gamit ang isang relay
3. tapos po ang final routine, pagkapatay po ng kuryente ay dapat magsend back ng message ung phone nila na nasa controller sa ngtext na phone kanina para patayin ang kuryente..

ayun po.. gamit po nila ay PIC uController.. tapos ung phone po nila na ga2mitin na nkakabit sa controler ay sinugest ko po na Nokia 6210 kasi mas madaling gmitin..

un po, anu po bang pede pa nilang ibang materials na gmitin? at tska konting tulong daw po sa programing kasi ngaun lng sila ngkaroon ng subject na microcontroller designs kasabay ng thesis..

Yung epe mag issue march and april 2007 ata na posted sa posted sa "E-books, Softwares, Datasheets and Manuals" duon mo pwede ibase yung circuit and code.  Kaya lang its base on an atmel ucrontroller.  Pero marami rami na rin mga ganyang projects na nagkalat sa internet that also uses the pic.  Just google for it.

Madali lang gumawa ng sms based on/off/status using Nokia and FBUS protocol then PIC micro, mahirap ay yung kung may datalogging ng involve or long data storage from sms, search google for FBUS protocol or pwede mo sya kapain by using rs232 sniffer habang connected ang phone mo sa rs232.

Kaya ba yan ng stand alone na PIC micro? I think not, very limited ang RAM at ROM ng PIC micro, so you have to add external memory, kung titingnan mo ang haba ng isang sms message, kakapusin ang RAM ng PIC sa data na tinatapon ng cellphone kung ito ay may content na mahabang message na.

Most of the time and I bet sa project sa itaas, ang gamit is Zilog, or kung hindi Zilog, microcontroller with external memory attached.

mas maganda gamitin ang gsm module sa egizmo tested na although meron din me 6210 at connector. Marami na me nagawang project na ito ang ginamit.
