its very true. Sad but true...

I remember when i teach these subjects, i always try to teach them the relevance ng mga topics.
Sabi ko basta comm ang hilig mo, you have to understand fourier series/transform.

totoo yan. yung ibang prof daw sa amin on the same subject, naging typing lesson sa MatLab ang dating. hehehe.

Ndi naman mahirap ang complex variables, laplace, fourier, z-transform, ordinary differential equations, advanced engineering mathematics ..actually, madadali pa nga ito if u really understand the 'underlying theory' behind and not just solving given set of problems..it all starts with the derivation of equations then understand what does it really means..

So far, the most difficult 'applied' (..not pure) mathematics that i had ever encountered..

1. non-linear partial differential equations
2. calculus of variations (..rayleigh-ritz method in particular)
3. advanced electromagnetic theory (..mathematical proof of maxwells-equations)
4. integral equations

i am previously 'self-teaching' with these higher mathematics: functional analysis, stochastic DE and perturbation. They are difficult to work with 'no prior' experience, i guess i can't solve problems in the 'same way of thinking' but it must be mentored and my way of thinking must modified.. and so, i had previously stop working with it..that was 2 yrs ago when i'm active and very persuasive solving math's..

yung DE namin integrated sa circuit analysis to save a subject (dati kasi seperate yun....)...tas yung signals and systems/DSP ang dean ng college ang nagtututro so bonggang bongga hahaha
