x in radians o degrees? maraming mga math expert dito, sana madalaw nila 'to. Grin

Because the answer is not important as the solution. What if the constant is changed to "1" instead of "1.57", review ka ng review sa possible answers, tapos binago ang constant, patay na.

I get the point sir. Wink

Professors can be arrogant at times and some of them think that their solution is the only correct one.

Going back to the math problem, anyone found the elegant solution yet? My math is now a bit rusty.

x+sin2x-1.57=0
i believe this is in radians..
by looking in the equation, "x" here is an angle...

if this equation is in "radians", we can make its "degree" equivalent equation..

doing so..

1.57 radians x 180 degrees/pi radians = 89.95 degrees (convert 1.57 into degrees)

and now our equivalent equation:

x + sin2x - 89.95= 0

but 89.95 is as good as 90 degrees..
then

x+ sin2x -90 =0

x +sin2x =90

dito tinignan ko nlng yung equation.. at what angle this equation is true??..

answer =>> !!!90 degrees"!!!

90 + sin180 =90
sin 180 =0
90=90

converting the answer to radians
90 degrees x pi radians/180 degrees = 1.570796327 rad

Grin Grin

me napansin lang ako sa equation

X= units in degrees/rad..
sin2x= unitless
1.57= rad

  x + sin2x = 1.57
angle + unitless = angle    <<-- Huh Huh Huh

mejo may lusot tong equation na to kasi ung unitless quantity is zero..   Cheesy Cheesy
