any info/schema regarding: "quiz show game" circuit

 any links/schema about:

 circuit like the "quiz show game" circuit.... like yung circuit nya mag buzz o iilaw if a certain contestant pushes his/her button(the 1st one who presses)..parang ganun, when the other contestants press, d na pwede kasi may nauna na...

 I want a similar one pero hindi sya mag "lock" , parang pag nag press ng "1", it will stay at"1", IF I press "5", mag lock naman ng "5"...if "3", then lock on "3"..parang ganun.. been doing this sa j-k flipflop, ok lang pag dalawa PERO d ko na magets if I need more than 2 switches na...

anyone got the idea?? madali ito sa PIC pero gusto ko logic gate based (or SCR)... anyone?

nalilito pa rin ako sa "lock" sequence nito.. accdg sa first statement: "pero hindi sya mag lock" ?

 when I press "1", it WILL latch on "1" output(and will NOT lock other outputs 2,3,4,5)... and If I press another, like "4", it will latch on to "4" output... I hope clear na.. hehe

parang mas maganda ata kung meron kang master reset. kasi kung ganun ang logic mo eh parang di applicable kung sa games mo gagamitin kasi kung unahan ng pindot ang principle eh halimbawang nauna sa 1, tapus biglang pumindot si 2, di sya naman naka latch? mas ok siguro kung, pag nauna si 1 eh mag latch sya pero di makakapindot si 2,3,4,5 hanggat di pinipindot yung reset button(for the 2nd question or round). or pwede rin naman na off delay timer ang de latching.

Try the following circuit.



If any one of switches is pressed, the output of 74HC30 ( pin 8 ) goes HIGH. The retriggerable monostable multivibrator is triggered and the output at pin 4 goes LOW. This signal is input into the strobe pin of the transparent latch which "remembers" who pressed the button first and locks out all others. The multivibrator's delay also serves to debounce the switches by locking out even the switch that was pressed for a minimum debounce time.

OT: relay logic specialist ka rin pala ahlburuto. 'yan din laging gamit ng tatay ko. nakakatuwang pakinggan yung clicks ng relay, kita mo kaagad kung saan merong mali yung logic mo.

No I did not simulate the circuit. I think it's your turn to do that if you feel you have to.

Anyway, here is another version which uses diodes instead of the 74HC30 and a simple RC circuit instead of the 74HC123. There is a small time window where two buttons pressed almost at the same time that will turn ON their respective LEDs. The window is a few usec wide and so highly unlikely to happen.

more on instrumentation kasi ako eh. at pag me free time eh yun ang inaatupag ko. gaya ng mga motor controls, sequencing nga mga relay... more on industrial part ang tipo ko... hehehehe....
