Connecting MCU to logic IC, or op amp Question

Pag coconnect po ng MCU to a LOGIC IC, or OP-AMP comparator to MCU. Needed pa po bang maglagay ng series resistor for limiting current? it really bothers me po. Pls help. TIA Cheesy
