Streaming Audio through wifi

Hi,

I'm new to programming mcu's and I want to play streaming audio through wifi. I am using the explorer 16 and an audio pictail plus daughtercard. I am using the pic24fj128ga010 for the mcu. I was told the codec cannot be used because the pic24f doesn't have a dci. I am looking at the an643 of microchip and apart from not making the demo work, I also couldn't understand the code to correct it. Can anyone help me?
