Final push to the End

« on: August 22, 2010, 08:07:45 PM »

Tinatanong toh sakin nung 3rd year HS na kapatid ko.

Find x,y and z angle
All angles are in degrees.

Try as I might using 3 equations, hindi ko talaga masolve.

May alam po ba kayong solution?
Thnx....

y+z = 180

63 + 37 + x + unknown = 180, x + unknown = 80

x + unknown = 80
37 + unknown + z = 180
y+z = 180
63 + x = z

x+y+63=180

x+y = 117
y+z=180
z-x=63

kasama ba sa "x" yung angle ng right side na triangle? Kung di siya kasama lalabas na 4 unknown yung hinahanap

You are looking for a numeric value? Walang constant solution para sa problem na yan. Pwede mo isagot is equation. Why? Kasi you can move the point doon sa y-z and the angles 63 and 37 are still true. Give the angle sa tapat ng "x", then the problem will have a definite solution. Smiley

No definite figure but you will have a definite solution set, for any values of x, x + u will always be equal to 80, y +z will always be equal to 180.

Given an example, x = 50, u = 30, y + z = 180, 63 + x + y = 180 ;

y = 67, z = 180 - 67; z = 113

Basing from the figure z > y > x, so pasok pa ang solution set na ito sa problem mo.

walang iisang solution dyan:
This solutions are ok:

y=z=90, x=27
y=91, z=89, x=26
y=92, z=88, x=25

and so on...

in short, walang definite solution... equation, pwede...

solution set, is diff. from a mere solution.

try lang to..

let: a be the angle beside the x.
(180-63-37)=80
so, a+x=80 eq.1

y+z=180; (straight angle) eq.2

x+y=117 (180-63) eq.3
a+z=143 (180-37) eq.4

eq.1 - eq. 4------->eq.5
eq.2 - eq. 3------->eq.6

substitute eq. 5 to eq.6

then solve all the unknowns..
a=21.5
x=y=58.5
z=121.5
