btw, i am pursuing grad studies... MSECE.

kumukuha po ako ng grad courses as electives (napilitan, wla na kasi talagang pwede) , marami pong matututunan, mostly advanced theory or another what to look at a particular problem, o mapipilitan kang matuto sa "guided learn-at-your-own-pace" style ng ibang prof..

pag-balak u magturo sa academe or you want to spent the rest of your life in academe then take an MS then go for Ph.D.. u will never get promoted to Professor or Associate Professor unless you have Ph.D na dapat sana vertically aligned.. ung ibang school na nakita ko, Associate Professor ang tawag sa kanya sa Engineering  pero M.S. at Ph.D niya ay management.. bat ganun?

dalawang klase kasi ang mga instructors:

examples: instructors sa review centers, instructors at different training centers, some university instructors where students are feared them because of his arcane knowledge and malakas mambagsak kaya pag-nalaman ng estudyante na siya ang professor, dina-drop ung subject or changed section with different instructor handling the same subject.

2. Giants = ito ung klase ng mga instructors na mejo mahihina ang mga boses, ndi gaano magaling magturo at kung magturo minsan boring, nakakaantok at ndi maintindihan or ma-iexplain ng mabuti in undergraduate level, magaling na ndi mo maintindihan at ndi mo maapreciate ang kanyang style ng pagtuturo. madalas sila ung mga taong may MS at Ph.D, pero sa mga published research and authoring some books diyan sila expert or magagaling.. sa pagsusulat.. pag may mga research articles or research conference or technical proposals jan sila number 1 at parati mong nakikita ang pangalan nila sa papel. Some students don't appreciate them but they win the respect and appreciation of co-instructors and sometimes the dean and research director.. sila ung magagaling magsulat at sa paggawa at ndi sa pagsasalita.. sasabihin mo minsan pag nakita mo ung pangalan niya sa research paper, prof ko ito ah' ndi magaling magturo ito.. pero mamamangha ka sa galing ng kanyang pagsusulat ng mga technical research papers at technikal na mga libro..

Kung pipili ka ng panel para sa thesis, mag-ingat ka sa giant.. delikado, very keen and in-depth kung magtanong at pag-sinabi niya kailangan mong gawin, otherwise ndi ka makakagraduate.. lalo na sa mga Ph.D, may kakilala ako nag-enroll ng Ph.D ng 30yrs old.. grumaduate siya ng 42yrs old.. muntik nabaliw or nagka-schizophrenia sa pag-aaral.. nagka-hiwalay sila ng asawa niya during those times dahil ndi maasikaso at kulang na rin sa pera pantustos.. but he earned my respect.. ganito talaga siguro ang buhay ng mga "totoong" engineer.. commitment, devotion and finish on what was started.. even againts all odds.. bihira lang ang ganitong tao.. and right now he has been hired by a giant company as a research scientist.. he had also some patents..

3. Giant + Legendary = eto ung combination ng dalawa.. bihira lang makita ung mga ganitong instructors, ung may Ph.D na magaling magturo.. at kung naka-encounter ka ng ganitong klaseng professor then you are blessed. gaganahan kang mag-aral at gusto mo siyang gayahin

ang MS at Ph.D talaga ang original, usually ay ginawa sa mga nasa academe.. but if you're pursuing in industry then go for MEP then Doctor of Engineering.. you're actually using your knowledge for the development of engineering process or production for the benefit of company and for the employees involved, actually sa ibang country may bachelor of engineering akong nakita sa website nila..

ibid..

gusto ko na rin kasi mag proceed nang masteral in mechatronics field kasi ito talaga main hilig ko...wala kasi undergrad in mechatronics dito samen kaya nag comp.e muna ako..  Wink

Smiley
