Guys, Need your help...

We got trouble from our Scoreboard (Baseball Scoreboard) Intermittently displays the expected scores blinking (maybe two or three seconds interval not exactly as per intermittently basis if it is connected at wired option... However, if it is connected at wireless option it displays alternately the expected display then 07 at visitors score then no display, this happens intermittently.

The initial troubleshooting was conducted  for me to get the technical information needed in totally repairing the Scoreboard... Let's see as per section:

Power supply for Scoreboard:      Supply Voltage is 11 volts, based on my observation as i disconnected it to the main board the power supply is okay it has continues supply of voltage. But when i connected to the main board while displays shows the troubles as explained above, the power supply turns down to 0 volts when it Scoreboard displays nothing (as intermittently blinking). This observation happens both wired and at wireless options.

Transmitter / Receiver Section:       This part is observed for wireless option. This section was suspected as the master trouble, but when i used to it on wired option and it stills produce the same trouble it concludes me that this section has no problem at all. It only shows 07 display at visitor score in alternate blinking intermittently because its desired operation channel in RF card is at channel 07.

Main board (Scoreboard):     This part only for interfacing and drivers of LEDs such as Transistors and Other IC's related in driving the LEDs to operate. and I think those kind of components are not the type or rather subjects for replacements.

Power Supply for Controller:     This part produce the needed voltage in control panel, and it has no problem upon checking.

Lastly, the part that i cannot get is at control panel board, since i do not have schematic diagram of the control panel, troubleshooting is very hard. But my suspicious part is the components involved in data output of controller that will be needed in data input for Scoreboard using wired option. While at wireless option, considering my suspicious part at components of data output of controller, based on my understanding to the flow of circuit, data output of controller will be the input to transmitter card (included in control panel) while the output of transmitter will be thrown to the receiver or RF card of the Scoreboard thats why wired and wireless option produce the intermittently display.

Is it SM16LC08C and DS34C87TM IC can be the responsible for this trouble?
Those IC's are what I'm suspecting, but right now its hard to find that kind IC here locally.

Please correct me if i am wrong in analyzing the problem...

Can somebody help me with this kind of trouble?
Please. hehehe.

sir i have a suggestion. have you tried checking the main filter capacitor of the power supply because you have mentioned a while ago that the voltage drops when loaded by these said circuits. have you tried to hang the VCC's of your suspected IC's? Check those IC's or your voltage regulators because it's problem is probably power related. Try hanging IC's one by one and voltage checking afterwards. you can easily pin-point the defective part by eliminating system (that's what I call it hahaha).

Thanks to your reply Gudo, you really gave me good ideas. I appreciate it very much. (can't wait to troubleshoot it again... hehe)

I'm just wondering, maybe if i try to hang the VCC's of my suspected IC's i guess it will cause no display at the Scoreboard since it is the components for data out going to the data in of Scoreboard.

I will try suggestions... and really thanks a lot.

could you enlighten me, if the filter capacitor is the responsible for the mentioned trouble, how it will affects or does it have the same trouble when talking to the Scoreboard Sytems?
