get a relay that has a bigger rating.. iyong sa auto relays.. yung bosch nila.. 12V 20A iyon.. safe pa siya..  PM mo ko if you need info on the pinouts.. or google mo na lang.. Smiley

Zinceye, you have to tell us about your circuit. Mukhang gagamitin mo lang ang relay to turn on power to your circuit or is your circuit turning on a relay? First, yu have to unerstand the 12V ,&A specs. What it means is that it takes 12V to pull in the relay. May coil yna, di ba.ang curent consumption dun maliit lang. You cannot use a higher voltage than 12V but the curent is determined by the load, i.e. the coil. So,it does not matter if you have a 100Amps supply basta 12V. Yung 7 amp refers tp what the contacts can handle.(Be careful now cuz the contact is described in amps and volts too). Bka yung 12V, 7Amp refers to the contact. Yung contact mo pwedeng double poles(x2) or single pole. Yung throw is a different matter, single throw or double throw.

Anyway, if you supply is 12V but your circuit draws only say 2 amps.ok lang yun(kung switch lang ang realy mo).ang dfadaan sa contact 2 amps lang.

If the relay is driven by your circuit, walang kinalaman yung 12V, 7amps kung parameter yan ng contact. What you have to know is the V and I rating ng coil sa relay.
