2m band is the most popular amateur radio broadcasting hobby year 2000 and beyond.  My callsign is SAR, should you hear me out there, I'm a freelancer jumping from one frequency to another.  QSL !

I'm using base radios Kenwood TM-271 and Icom IC-2200 and a portable Motorola GP88.  Catch you on air na lang.

My basic power supply to all my radios is 50A.  Puede sa IC2200 since max power output e umaabot ng 75W kaya kumakain ng mga 20A on center frequencies.  If you need a dedicated power supply for the IC2200, you can settle with 25-30A power supply.

@dy7flt

you may try to listen to our amateur repeater at 144.880MHz if its signal can reach your location.  it transmits station-ID once every 5-minutes.  i have once worked with a station from romblon on the rpt.

meron na ulit yata ang PRS ngayon, mukhang binubuhay na ulit nila.  although nawala na rin sila thelma at boyet sa grupo nyo.   boyet is with us (DX1ARM-ARMI) already while thelma is with DX1L-PARL.

kasama ko si boyet last sunday, we joined the tour of the fireflies (if you have heard about it) biking around metro manila.

please extend my best regards to dv1fil. nagkita rin kami sa forum nang motorcycle philippines, and we formed a group of ham bikers, kaya lang medyo natahimik uli.

tnx om benj, c u on air

Im using PC PSU modified to 13.8V.

you can modify the 12V output of the PC PSU pero usually maliit lang ang ampere capacity sa 12V output ng PC PSU.

what I did is to use 3 units of PC PSU and use the 5VDC output connected in series to produce 15V output. Then use 2pcs 60Amp metal silicon diode in series to lower the voltage to 13.8V since each diode drops a 0.6V (15 - 0.6 - 0.6 = 13.8V). Malaki ang ampere capacity ginamit ko sa 220WATTS MIRAGE 2M Booster, sabay pa mag transmit and ALINCO DR135 ko na nag drive sa booster.
