Share lang ako dumaan ako kasi sa basic rewinding during elective(tama ba spelling) namin. Pero hindi electric fan masakit kasi sa mata hehehe. Materials needed. 1. DIY bobbin form 2. Counter if you have 3. Mica insulator, fish paper(patama kung mali spelling) or insulator 4. Thread tulad ng panali sa sako ng asukal para iwas vibration and tightening. 5. Blade cutter 6. soldering iron, lead 7. varnish 8. Rubber mallet 9. Wire for terminal wiring 10. Tubing Yung iba, tulad ng procedure, yung iba na magshare.

Dun sa isang tread about efan nagshare na sila ng ilang turns sa mga windings ng e fan. Kung nandyan pa yung winding sa stator nung efan. Ang kailangan mo matutunan ay kung paano baklasin mula dun sa pinakaibabaw na winding (yung iba baking pa dumadaan para maalis yung varnish)(sa iba rubber mallet will do)(sa mahusay cutter na katapat nito, then winding na diretso ng bago) . That is starting winding yata. Dapat maalis na muna yung varnish na hindi basta napuputol yung mga wire para macount at maalis ng maayos dun sa stator slot niya. Then marking the position at in-out ng winding(para ito sa phasing). A piece of paper at pencil para mailagay yung diagram. Hanggang maubos yung windings sa stator ng motor. Sizing nung winding saka bilang ng wind. Saka pala size ng wire. Tandaan rin yung in-out nung kada dulo ng winding kung in sya sa left then out sa right(phasing ito). Then procedure reverse lang(rewinding na). Iwasan masugatan ang winding, baka dumikit sa katabing turns or sa stator. Hehe karagdagan lang. Share naman yung iba.

Saka pala dapat tandaan yung slot spacing saka position may bilang yan. A paper diagram habang binabaklas at binibilang yung winding makakatulong sa nagsisimula po.

i-record muna ang number of turns, size of wire, at position sa bawat coil. i-sketch mo ung connection sa bawat coil.
sa cross-section ng coil na pinutol mo, mabilang mo ang number of turns.

QUESTION ng Newbie: meron akong washing machine motor with 3 wires ung isang wire ground. itetest ko sana kung functional. test ko sa 110v gumana pero wala akong start capacitor kinabit. tapos kinabit ko sa 220v ayon parang my nagkislap sa loob ng motor ayaw na umikot, buo pa ba yung motor ko?

split phase motor may running winding at starting winding, kailangan ang capacitor to establish starting torque.

. ok thanks 4 all ur correction  pero sira na po kaya yung motor or starting winding. pano ko kaya malalaman ung tamang connection nung 3 wires kung wala namang label? meron akong nakitang capacitor dito 1 inch diameter at 2.5 inch height eto ata ung cap nya. help thanks newbie here.

Nakikita kong washing machine motor are three leads out. L1 and L2 yung isa ay nakakabit sa capacitor, then yung kabilang terminal ng capacitor nakakabit sa L2.  Dapat L1 and L2 other terminal pwedeng open tapos ikot mo na lang. But this is dangerous kaya do it on your own risk, kung walang starting capacitor na nakakabit.

Kokopyahin lang nila ung number of wires at coil pitch.

sa gustong makaalam ng connection ng washing machine motor ito po para sa 3wires
1 common(usually yellow color)---------- ac line 1 2 starting and running(usually blue color)--- capacitor----timer------- ac line 2 3 starting and running(usually red color--- capacitor-----timer--------ac line 2
* 2 and 3 alternated by timer. ----sna mkatulong

Tama si Jon. I worked on many washing machines, yng personal ko lang. Pareparejo kahit iba ibang brands. assuming we won't rely on the color of wires, isang winding yun tuloy tuloy pero may center tap. Assume nating and center tap ay terminal 2, yung two start and finish would 1 and 3.
Yung 1 and 3 should give he highest resistance. ung 1 and 2 at 1 and 3 should be the same.
Look at the diagram sa likud, you will see parang triangle and drawing ng windings. Yun 2 sa baba, yung 1 and 3, sa taas, slanted outwards.
1 and 2 as well as 3 and 2 are both starting and running winds. You will see a capacitor connected to 1 and 3. Walang polarity yung capacitor.
Yung isang power line, recta sa 2. ung natira kinoconnect sa either 1 or 3 by the timer. kapag sa 1, iikot oneway, pag sa 3 , the other way. This is how the platten rotates to and fro sa wishy-washy mode.n Inside the timer is also a switching contact, switching the power line from 1 to 3 and VV. the timer of course also breaks the contact after the set time.
EXPLANATION
The WM motor is an induction motor. Ithas two windings. One winding if off phase with the first one. This is accomplished by the cap in series. The winding na nakarecta is considered the running wind and the one in series with the cap is the starting wind.
Note:Running and starting winds started with motors where the 2nd winding is shut off once the motor runs. usually, a centrifugal switch disconnects it. In the WM motor, the 2nd winding is left ON, thus it should not be really called the starting wind. That is the reason why , they are called capacitor motors.

By the way, the best way to learn how to rewind fan motors is to watch the guy rewinding in electrric fan repair shops. First, he removes the burned wire. Then he weights it. then weights new wire and get the same weight. since they are of ghe same gauge, they will be of the same length. Next, he winds it in a "bobbin" in a winding tool. (i have one). But then he removes the coil from the bobbin and inserts it into the stator frame. This is where it is very tricky cuz you can scarape the wire and end up with a short. The e fan motor is just like the WM.It is an induction motor and is a capacitor motor. The second winding is permanently powered via a cap which makes the current off phase. the first winding is recta to the power line. However, to change the speed, the first winding is tapped. To increase the speed, raise the microfarad of the cap.
