pahelp naman po. we are using globe broadband (wired) as our internet provider. i want to connect both PC and laptop to the internet but the modem/router of globe have only 1 port that can be connected to the PC. Is it possible that i can use another router for the laptop? here is a picture of the modem/router that i want to use.  thank you in advance..  |

Yes.. you can connect a 4 Port Broadband router dun sa 1 port router ng Globe.. same thing with ZTE DSL/modem router ng Bayantel, puwede din ikabit sa 4 Port broadband router para maka-connect ang addtional computers.. |

sorry hindi ko kasi nakikita kung naguupload ung pics.. naka crossmark kasi mga images d2 sa pc ko..  magappear na kaya ung image?.. sana,, |

BTW, karamihan sa mga modem na 'yan ay router na (merong DHCP, Firewall, NAT, etc.). actually, sa loob niyan madalas may provision for 4 LAN ports, wala lang 'yung IC ng switching hub. kaya pwede ring switch na lang ang ikabit. switch lang din ang gamit namin sa Huawei 3G Gateway.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_switchhindi na siya router. doon lang co-connect 'yung mga PC at modem. mas mura ang switch kaysa router. ang typical na 4 port switch, nasa 500 lang ang price.
