Just finished etching the sms controller board.  Got most of the parts but still mssing some ICs.

If this becomes successfull, I'll try to port to a pic 16f877 later on.  Have to find some time in the next few days to complete all the required components and hunt for some very old 5110s.

pwede kahit anong microcontroller preferably with built-in RS232 peripheral para madali and also capable of 115,000 bps kung FBUS protocol gagamitin

As per your above example, your uC should be set to 4800.

**GSM and uC should be at same baud rate setting.
You need also twisted cable (in most cases).

like nung ginawa ko dito: Re: help... PIC to 3310
(mas madali ata sa 6210, compared sa 3310)

Matanung ko nga pala, ano bang advantages ng GSM modem mismo over phones that have modem? Smiley

I usually check the modem to see if it is still connected. I send "AT" then it should reply with "OK". After a certain time of checking at wala reply saka ko ididisplay na "Please connect GSM modem".

Because it is not mass produced.

BTW, my bluetooth module could be used as GSM modem alternative.
You only need a bluetooth cellphone and the module can connect to it and use its modem.
The phone will not be touched and damaged and still be usable even after the project is finished.

Really sir? Nice to know about that feature of your bluetooth module. I may have a nice use of that in future projects...
