Nama, nama, naman...When it rains, it pours! Positive dilemma talaga. Ano ba dapat ang sundin magaral ng masters degree or magabroad na while the iron is hot?

Grin Grin Grin

hehehe...more than 4 years na ako sa industry...wala pa nmn talaga ako plano magabroad pero biglang narealize ko na in demand ang field ko lalo na sa singapore...im just worried na yung time na gugulin ko sa masters na part time kukunin would make my age 30, by that time magdecide ako magabroad baka wala na ung demand....

Yeah, two birds in one stone.  Pero if ever dun ako magtatake ng masters target kong schools are Nanyang Technological University or National University of Singapore.  One thing about these schools mataas ang tuition kaya you would really need scholarships to be able to pursue studies.  Di ka nmn nila papayagan na magkascholarships while working kasi scholarships they expect it to be full time.  I need to send money to my parents still.  Bread winner din ako eh.

Between taking masters here in the Philippines and working abroad, one thing to consider is alin sa dalawa ang pang long term.  Ano sa dalawa ang may long term gains?

Ganito po, pede bang itanong? kc pag nasa pinas ka ba at nagmamasterals, mkakapagbigay kaba sa parents mo?
Or ung other option na habang nasa abroad ka, you put away a part of your salary to give way to masterals.. anyway, nga pala, ung nagmamasterals sa loob ng company, mostly is sagot ng company, specially kung ung field of expertise e to the growtk of the company, and also a 2 way win-win.. kc may bond sila para sau..hehehe

try your luck, during interview, ask during salary/benefits nego un about sa continous learning..

my own expense dito sa pinas, ayokong mabond sa isang company, i can still give to my parents even when i am doing school, pero konti lang, essentials lang, walang luho, kung sa singapore syemps, di hamak malaki laki maibibigay ko, may luho na yun...pero i believe its doubly harder their to take masters/grad school....

nways thanks guys sa advice, im still giving hope sa philippines kaya naisipan ko muna matali sa pinas by taking masters hehehe...let's see these coming days

You're in IT?  Planning to take an MBA?  How about an MS Computer Science (CS)?
I think if you are working in a big company an MBA is a big plus.  But there are a lot of local scholarship now available here i.e. CHEd, DOST, ERDT for MS CS.  For ERDT, the monthly allowance is P15k/month (before 12k/month), may thesis grant na P200k plus other allowances check it out.  Sa DOST naman I think around 8k/month etc.

Yup im in IT pero not applications/development, I'm an infra person. Ayoko mabond sa DOST, IT is such a dynamic field, 2 years is long enough for changes to happen and opportunities to emerge, mahirap matali.
