what is your view with this?  Huh

Quote
String theory is a developing theory in particle physics which attempts to reconcile quantum mechanics and general relativity.[1]  String theory posits that the electrons  and quarks  within an atom  are not 0-dimensional objects, but rather 1-dimensional oscillating lines ("strings"), possessing only the dimension of length, but not height or width. The theory posits that these strings can vibrate, thus giving the observed particles their flavor, charge, mass and spin. The earliest string model, the bosonic string, incorporated only bosons, although this view evolved to the superstring theory, which posits that a connection (a "supersymmetry") exists between bosons and fermions, two fundamentally different types of particles. String theories also require the existence of several extra, unobservable, dimensions to the universe, in addition to the usual three spatial dimensions (height, width, and length) and the fourth dimension of time. M theory, for example, requires that spacetime  have eleven dimensions

M Theory has the potential develop into the long sought TOE (Theory of everything, holy grail of modern physics). But not all physicists subscribes to this idea for one important reason- it is not testable, or at least physicists has not found yet a way to experimentally test it. Some physicists even see the M theory as falling under the realm of philosophy- it is not science if you cannot test it.

As the quote mentioned, M theory necessitates the existences of eleven dimension, 10 space dimension and 1 time dimension. String/M theory postulates we can only be aware of the 3 space and 1 time dimensions because the higher 7 space dimensions are so tiny and curled up, not even the most powerful microscope can possibly detect it.

There are speculations though that CERN new Large Hadron Collider may some day able be to accellerate particles into energy levels that will send them into the extra dimensions. That will  certainly be a day of triumph among the string theorist. Smiley

G-string theory. Grin

Even the best minds could not picture a universe with more than 3 spatial dimensions. I mean, no serious scientist had ever claim they can imagine with absolute certainty what it is like to be in hyperspace.

Ten Dimensions lang pala hindi 12. (hihihi sumobra pala dimensions ko)

5 - are measurable dimensions

4 Spatial (length, width, height, depth) + "(Time)" = 5 measurable dimensions

And the 5 dimensions are culred-up into less than 10^-33cm ang thus inferable only by indirect means.

That made-up the 10 dimensions. A man named Nachmonides has even obsrved this ten dimensions in his time in 12th century.
