sir bumili kasi ako ng antenna sa cdrking un encore, sabi daw to improve un signal 7dpi daw yun?

anu po ba un dpi for saan po siya?

it's dBi not dpi. dBi is decibels over isotropic, simply put, its 7dB above a theoretical antenna without gain and transmits in a spherical pattern.

7 dBi is roughly 5 times the output power compared to the theoretical antenna.

'yun nga lang ang madalas na kasama ng routers na antenna is around 2dBi to 5dBi, so expect only a gain of 2dB to 5dB.

ai sorry po. so kung mas mataas ng dBi mas maganda?pero di ko po magets yun with out a gain and transmit in sherical pattern?

sa wireless communications, theoretical 'yung isotropic antenna, so halimbawang meron kang 1W, sa isotropic, radiated lang siya sa spherical pattern.

with typical antennas, meron 'yang gain dahil sa directivity, meaning, 'yung ibang power na supposedly nasa ibang parts ng sphere, nare-redirect to add sa ibang directions. tulad din ng ilaw, kung naka-suspend ang isang CFL sa gitna ng kwarto, sabog 'yung ilaw niya. ngayon, kung lalagyan ito ng reflector, mas lalakas 'yung ilaw sa harap na part ng CFL.

depending sa application kung mas maganda ba ang mataas na dBi. kung point-to-point communications, the higher the better. tulad ng sa gamit sa satellite, which is around 30 to 40dBi. ang isang pangit sa mataas na gain na omnidirectional antenna, nagiging manipis ang beamwidth niya, kaya dapat almost level siya sa mga computer na gagamit to obtain maximum efficiency.
