the cheapest and lens with the best lens at par with the Canon L series lenses.. ito na yung pinakamalinaw na lens na pwede mong mabili na kaya pa ng bulsa mo hehehehe...

Korek! & most of the 50mm f1.8 ay afordable sa kahit na anong brand ng DSLR. bakit kaya?

sabi ng ibang photo hobbyist plastic design ang 50mm 1.8 ng canon pero  binansagang the performer daw ito,good for low light /ambient light situation,good for portrait pa kahit di na gamitan ng external flash..

because napakadaling gumawa ng lens na hindi nag-zo-zoom.. puwede mong lagyan ng very good quality glass without increasing the price at very high levels..

50mm 1.8,85mm 1.8 200mm 2.8  etc.....primes lens kadalasan tawag ng mga hobbyist
 ito po yung mga FIXED focal lenght, iba yung ginamit na glass dito,meron additional na motor USM(Ultra Sonic Motor)...para dun sa kanyang autofocus drive.
disadvantage nito kaw ang lalayo sa subject mo..lakad zoom.

posibleng sa size at complication nung optics sir. IIRC, aperture number = Focal Length / Diameter of the opening. kaya kung 200mm f/2.8, dapat 71.43mm ang aperture opening. kaya malalaki 'yung mga fast lens na telephoto.

'yung 50mm kahit sa f/0.95, mas maliit pa rin ang required opening niya.
