Contest Criteria for Born2bewired's Oscilloscope

akin na lang yun isa jan gamitin ko sa company namin, right now yung bluetooth module na gamit namin is hinde mabago ang baud rate kasi di pwede AT command. through GUI dapat ang pagbabago...

btw, pwede ba controllin ang RTS ng bluetooth serial controller via software? para pwede sana for RS485 comms

On my module, baud rate can be modified using AT but not during "command mode".  This will confuse users on what is the real starting baud rate and chances are no communications occur. 

Command / Passthru mode is is switched via 1 pin. Setup mode uses always 9600.  Passthru mode lets packets from bt passes through the serial port thus will work like a wireless bridge.  While in command mode, the module accepts AT-commands and controls and read its 10 I/O ports.

RTS in the CSR chipset is controlled via the low level firmware (bios).  This is ok for RS485.  On my module, I don't use hardware handshake (CTS/RTS).  This is difficult for the new user to grasp at first.  One could use XON/XOFF as flow control.  But I limit the baudrate to 115kbps and the BT chip could work without hardware handshake with this rate. 

Hardware handshake also is rarely used in small microcontroller serial interfaces.  I was hesitating to add this. But it will cost 2 pins less for the I/O or increase in the module size. So I decided to drop these 2 pins.

Yes. But in the my module, the RTS line is not routed to the DIP pins. But there is a pad in for it that you could solder wires.

maganda yan pag na-add nyo sa labas ang control ng RTS pins o kaya pati na rin ang DTR. nakausap ko ang support ng actisys and sabi nila di daw pwede sa module nila yung manual toggling ng RTS pins. kaya di ko siya magamit for RS-485. ganoon din ang frustrations ng iba na nababasa ko sa net. malaking plus yan pag naisama yan imo...

Dapat siguro para sa mga studyante ang pakontes sir "wired",  kasi pang studyante naman talaga ang disenyo ng scope...suggestion ko kay sir "Mod.." dapat tanungin nalang "Ano ang mga gamit ng scope na yun?" at ang may pinakamaraming sagot, sa kanya ang scope.

Oy! siyempre naman! I can assure kung sino man ang magiging owner nito will be pleased to find na kahit kapirasong gasgas wala siyang makikita . As I mentioned, the only cosmetic 'damage' is yung sobrang paninilaw ng escutcheon label nya dahil after all, 7 or so years old na yan kahit di nagamit. 

Tnx jr-agustin sa pagtanggol mo . Naiintidihan ko naman si arcadeo, nowadays, why would anyone give away something to strangers na walang kapalit, yung tinatawag natin catch. I will be suspicious too.

In reality, you are giving me too much credit dito sa oscilloscope. I actually gave this scope to sir electron, siya ang nagdecide na ibigay sa inyo .
