cement (portland)
you have to trust me on this one.

magkakaproblema kayo kung gagamit ka nang synthetic(mahal) or organic binders. (it degrades overtime)
pero baka may ibang ideas yung members dito.

I think the trays are not for sound proffing.. they are more for sound improvement..  echo reduction..

ang alam ko the idea in sound proffing is to lessen the vibration in the walls.. caused by sound hitting the surface.. kapag nag vibrate yung wall it acts as a small speaker transmitting the sound outside.. so yung sound proffing i gues would use heavy rigid materials unlike egg trays.. you can also minimize the sound by directing the air exhaust of the room somewhere else na walang maiistorbo probably add also some form of muffler parang tambutso ng sasakyan..

sori ngaun ko lang nabasa ito.

if for soundproofing or better yet sound isolation what usually first to be considered
most needs you'll need a massive barrier (a wall) and a sealed room
lots of things needs to be considered also in the rooms
like such openings the space around doors, electrical box, heating ducts, canned lighting sa
ceilings (if there is one). massive walls tulad ng concrete, CMU, saka multiple layers of sheetrock and decoupled spaces.
so make sure to look into this first, before moving forward sa project mo.

putting putting acoustical panels in a room doesn't really helps
it is more on acoustic quality of the room, they effect the acoustics of the room.  Smiley
