Wibree is the old name for "Bluetooth low energy".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth#Bluetooth_low_energy

It is now in the new Bluetooth specs. It will be directly competing with zigbee for low power sensor application such as heart-rate monitors.  This is much better than zigbee for you can use your phone as the master device for recording the sensors data.  Normally it will use the existing Bluetooth radio and the enhancement is in software only.
