Madali lang tx side ang problema dito eh yung rx side kasi kailangan mo ng program sa PC.

May ready made nga pala project similar to this sa e-gizmo.

Kung ayaw nya gumawa ng program sa PC, he can always use hyperterminal to send commands sa robot.

For the RF side, you can use bluetooth, zigbee or any that can convert RS232 signals to RF.

Sa microcontroller, any micro that has a built in UART can do, you can go with software UART's pero it will just add burden to your programming, may existing naman na micro na may UART na bakit ka pa bibili ng wala.
