reverse recovery time. kapag nag-conduct kasi ang diode, merong time para maka-recover siya kapag pinatay na. kung halimbawang masyadong matagal 'to at mabilis ang switching nung application, meron siyang reverse current sa mahabang oras.

^ not exactly. recovery has to do with the switching.

kapag nag-reverse, hindi kaagad nakaka-block 'yung diode, kailangan mag-recover siya bago ulit siya makaka-block ng reverse current. in high speed applications hindi pwede 'yung low speed diode dahil kapag reverse cycle na, tumatagos pa rin 'yung current sa diode, parang conductor lang talaga siya.

I agree. That high reverse current dissipates a lot of energy. So a slow diode will have higher reverse recovery losses when used in high switching speed applications. This losses will result in overheating and will eventually cause the slow diode to fail.
