simplest ASK modulator is just an AM circuit, papalitan lang nung digital signal 'yung audio signal na input:



pwede ring lagyan ng amplifier 'yung carrier katulad dito sa baba.



plus, of course, kailangang palitan 'yung transistors to match the RF na gagamitin at kailangang magkaroon ng matching components 'yung bias and/or output.

kung 'yung levels ay On at Off lang, OOK (On-Off Keying) ang tawag dun, which is also ASK. pwedeng lagyan ng bias para kapag 0 'yung logic level, meron pa ring mas maliit na carrier. pwede kasing magkaroon ng DC Wander kung walang encoding.

sir ganito din project namin ngayon sa digital comms 2 namin.. binary data transmit and receive in ASK modulation...this is the circuit i need...ang schematic po na yung pinaka una eh am transmitter po ba? pwede po malaman ang biasing nito sir..yung component values nya...pls po...thanks po..

ASK: AM nga yan pero keying lang. which means hindi analog and amplitude changes. Pwedeng ON and carrier or OFF ang carrier to designate a keying.  Thelatter is preferred cuz a continuing carrier "locks in" into a receiver. In sending 0 and 1, an OF carrier can designate a 1 and silence for a lapse time is 0.

Another way to do it is to key a short and a long pulse, much like the "dih" and "dah" of Morse. Short for 0 and long for 1. But the "dih" can be represented by silence.

A practical way to used ASK is to send clocks of about .25MS in duration. The clocks can be fed into a shift register which switchs output port at every clock. The delay between 2 clocks will appear as ON time in the shift register decoder. The delay in the transmitter can be made either a 1MS delay or a 2MS delay.Timers can be adjusted to produce either and sent serially.

The outputs in the decoder can be interpreted for its pulse width. a practical project therefore is to build an 8 channel TX and the delays is controlled by a switch adjusting ghe timer. Toggle up means 2MS. A dpdt toggle sw can be used with one side lighting up an LED. At the RX side, all 2MS pulse will also light LEDs.

Si Andromeda from Cebu ordered a project involving 8 leds that can be lighted remotely from a TX. ASK ang gamit dito. Problema, biglang nalang nawala si Andromeda at hndi na sumasagot. INIWAN ganoon lang. All he has to do is to cancel the order. School authorities are now looking for him.
