any advise po.plan po ng group namin mas padaliin ang waste segregation.may garbage can for bio and non-biodegradable.tapos pag hindi non-biodegrable yun itinapon sa basurahan hindi tatanggapin ng basurahan .parang hindi magbubukas yun taklob nun basurahan.tapos pa nasense nung garbage can na non-bio yun itatapon.magbubukas yun taklob.automatic po yun taklob .feasible po kaya ito?

Mahirap idetermine right away kung biodegradable ang content sa basura.

What can be done is, when proper color-coding of garbage bags is implemented, the trash cans won't accept garbage bags if not its proper color.
A color sensor can be used on this application.

Pero the question is how would you immediately know if the garbage is bio-degradable or not using sensors?
For example how would you determine if the garbage is paper or alumninum or just your "hand" which is also biodegradable?

If the objective is to "teach" garbage segregation, another way is to have prompts spoken (speech warning) when a hand/garbage is placed on the opening saying this can is for this kind of garbage plus a warning for punishment or consequences.

I think you misunderstood my point.

Maybe I am wrong on this, but there is no sensor yet that can immediately determine quickly if the garbage is biodegradable, not biodegradable.
I pointed out also that if there is one, your own hand can be falsely be detected as biodegradable and the cans can be tricked.

sa tingin ko possible yan kaso matagal na pag aaral at mahabang habang program ang gagamitin para maeidentify un uri ng mga basura ang itatapon. I think gagamit ka ng video cam..mahirap yan sis pero possible..kung simple lang LDR pd na pang detect.

'yung plastic bottles, aluminum can sorting medyo madali lang. pero for bio-degradable/non bio-degradable, medyo mahirap. even video can be fooled, remember the fake food displays that are made of plastic and painted, pero mukhang totoo talaga.

kung mahilig kayo sa Discovery, How Do They It, etc. makikita niyo na kahit sa 1st World Country ang automated lang sa segregation for recycling ay ang pagkuha ng metals na kayang kunin ng magnet. tapos 'yung ibang metals, merong pila ng tao sa conveyor para i-sort 'yung aluminum, brass, copper, etc.
