ano ang source nung MCU mo bago maging 5V? 'di mo naman directly ipo-power ng MCU 'yung relay, pang-drive lang 'yung 5V.
 yan gamit ko na setup to amplify my 5vdc output to trigger the relay... sa mcu ako kukuha ng VDD designated pin ng MCU ang trigger ko ng relay....

6volts relay gagamitin ko kasi yun na lang available... ano ang papalitan ko po dyan sa setup na yan para mag energize ang 6volts relay?

look at the datasheet of your relay.... indicated din naman kung ok lang ang less than 6V. i am using 6V relay (nabibili lang dyan sa mga local electronic shop), as per data sheet, 4.5 to 7 daw. and it worked naman. try to experiment on it nga...

6vdc/220vac na lang po...
paano po ito.... 5vdc lang output ng MCU ko.... @reaver: kung gagawin mong supply ng relay (ung nasa collector part) is ung output ng MCU mo, di kaya kapos yung maibigay na ouput current ng MCU sa relay?? better kung ung supply ng relay (yun nasa collector part) is yung supply din na ginamit mo sa VDD ng mcu mo.. tapos ung output ng MCU mo is connected dun sa base ng transistor mo pang trigger lang in series with your R1...

ferdie, di ko pa naman na eexhaust ang paggamit ng relays, but i am using the same circuit. ginamit ko sya DITO. Pero ang relay ko kasi dyan at 5v ang rating ng coil. may pinaggamitan din ako, 6V rated na relay, HLS8L-DC6V , ok naman. Stated on that datasheet, i could use voltage from 4.5 to 7.8. kinukuha ko ang 5V sa same rail ng VDD ng MCU. siguro i was just that lucky at di naman nagrarattle. or perhaps, mataas lang ang current rating ng supply ko. I used 2N2222 for both projects. correct me if im wrong. thanks

agree ako dyan sir marcelino dahil doon na sila nagkatalo sa current rating ng power supply mo na mataas na,stabilized @ regulated.well,doon sa case ni reaver26 ang main issue na lamang is the current rating of his ps para magamit niya ang 5vdc as input signal and @ the same time collector supply,otherwise separate na lamang yong ps ng kanyang relay driver(transistor Q1) para ma-ienergize yong relay.thanks...

yes.  una get a faster diode (D1) than the 1N4004 2nd i hiwalay mo sa mcu power. get a separate supply for inductive loads. 3rd pwede din yung uln2003 eto lagi gamit ko for driving relays and other inductive loads.
