Grin

I am not an ECE (CoE ako) nor affiliated with IECEP but I know 1 of the past president of IECEP (co-teacher ko sa Ateneo).  I can forward your concerns if you want.

Regarding the IECEP seminars, if you want to give a seminar you can have it accredited by IECEP.  In fairness to IECEP, the fees are dependent on the seminar providers.  There are a lot of no fee (PF) seminars accredited by IECEP.  Examples are MADC sponsored seminars (may giveaway pa bukod sa libre)-- (I know this because I am a member of MADC executive board).

In addition, if you are the speaker of the seminar, you are given 2 (or is it 3) times CPE points per hour of lecture.

Smiley

This not an introductory question like that of a Philosophy of Religion (Who is God?). heheh Grin

But seriously, what does IECEP have done for you? How does it affects you "directly" (or indirectly) as a professional?
Do you feel their presence in your workplace?

I am not trying to start an argument or something.. Gusto ko lang talagang malaman. I just feel that I am being oblige to pay every year without something in return. As i understood, an ECE can't be converted to Electronics engineering if not a member of IECEP. So I renewed my membership before going to PRC... but no one asked for my IECEP ID.. Does PRC have a list of active members?

Am I being oblige to be a member because the law of the state says so? If I don't renew the membership, what will happen?

Smiley
