ang galing nyo naman boss.... di kaya ng powers ku yan. pero kung makagawa ka pu nyan ng isa eh gustong gusto kong bumili ng isa nyan para dito sa house. currently kasi i have 1 smart relay installed in my house at meron syang 8 input and 4 output. balak kong hock up yang project mo kung makatapos ka. para maximize ko yung gamit ng cp ko. pero kahit ba lagyan mo ng antenna yang module mo eh ganun din ba yung coverage nyan? and 1 more thing po sir, kung yung pc ko eh merong blutooth module na 100m ang coverage at yung sa iyo eh 20m lang at sabihin natin na ang layo nila sa isat isa eh  50m, posible ba na makita ng pc yung module mo? vice versa?

regards po and more power

sana po naintindihan nyo mga tanung ko.....

TIA

Thanks for the interest.

But there is a small delay, I was out of town last weekend and my scheduled work on this project was bumped.  Hopefully to finish this ASAP.
You could extend the range with a directional high gain antenna.  But this is good for fixed position only.
Possible 50m if the PC module is class 1 and has a receive preamp included. Because the PC module transmission can reach with higher power but the module to PC transmission is weaker and may not be heard  So an rx preamp on the PC module is required also to have a longer range.

My friend and I have been interested in playing around with bluetooth devices. I must say, we are REALLY interested in what you are currently working on. We wish you the best of luck! I'll keep an eye out for this thread for updates. Very interesting, especially the price.

Thanks for the interest.

Please bear with me with my release on this.  Sad I am a bit busy lately and this project is just for hobby and I have not prioritized it lately.  The code now is beta quality and some little fixing to do.  I may not be able to include hardware handshake on the initial release but probably on the next version.

I have not yet finished this yet.  Grin
But as promised, I will give sir Electron 2 sets (pairs) for prizes. Frankly, I have not yet talked/PMed him about this.  Maybe when the project is completed.

Master zer0wing you mentioned earlier that this module will be transparent to the user and connection is done by using AT commands. This is if I'm using it for phones right?
According to the specs it can be used as wireless UART cable replacement. I'm currently using my computer's serial port to communicate with a microcontroller using the TX pin. If I understand the documentation correctly I can use the modules TX pins just like that of my serial port thus removing the wires. Did I get it right?

Yes, it will be like using it as a normal serial device and can be used with Hyperterminal.  It will be connected to your PC serial port or to microcontroller's serial port and act like a bridge.  The serial stream will be passed to the other connected BTSerial1 or the connected cellphone phone if using PASSTHRU mode.  If on COMMAND mode, the other connected BTSerial1 will accept remote commands that will turn ON or OFF any IOs or read its state.
