Nego-eskwela is offering a 3-day course on TV & Monitor Servicing. Meralco Foundation and other vocational schools also offer the same 36-hour course. Course fee ranges from 3T to 5T. Question is, is this enough time to actually learn servicing these complicated electronic equipments. Is it worth the money to enroll in one of these courses?

@Electron
Thanks for the reply. Would it be better to just buy a good book about TV & Monitor Servicing? Basic lang ang alam ko sa electronics.

Wala pa ring tatalo sa first hand experience pero if I have to choose between a 3 day seminar sa TV repair and lots of good books and resources. Dun na ako sa book.

36 hrs. is not enuf for the bigenners but if you have a technical background, i suggest enroll in MFI base in my own experience...BOOKs....doesnt teach..technique....maigi pa rin go for training schools such MFI they will teach you also or share there experience on the field...

well 3 days is not enough for beginners with basic electronics backgound,. dito kc sa amin meron na o offer ng ganyang course pero the whole day discuss sa symptoms then teach the actual troubleshooting sa monitor o sa tv.,. halimbawa topic is deadset ang unit explain bakit naging ganito then actual na trinotroubleshoot ang unit parang spoon feeding kumbaga..gets new.

They will teach you pretty much everything.
Just show them that you are willing to learn
and respect them.

well, para sa akin 3 days is too short even myself i can't learn within 3 days. Unfortunately i was graduated Technical Vocational (2 yr.) Diploma Industrial Electronics Technology. I've obtained diploma but still i never apply for self learning & experience so sad to say those things for all my studied fairly was gone.

Oo nga its better kung mag self-study ka na lang like learning to read schematics etc. and downloading them from the internet. There are tons out there even for LCD models. But book learning has to be applied as well and that's where an instructor can give you a fast track process kasi me "real world" experience na sila and they can teach you the tricks of the trade on how to diagnose a TV just by their symptoms, safety precautions etc. and also substitute parts in case the original ones are no longer available in the market.

Smiley
