R&D - Research and Development

depende sa company kung ano 'yung ginagawa nila. for a hobbyist, pwedeng dream job ang R&D dahil gagawin mo lang 'yung gustong gusto mong gawin, mag-research ng kung anu-ano at i-apply sa design ng isang product/project.

malaki rin ang fulfillment sa R&D lalo na kapag nakapag-develop ka ng complicated circuit or nakahanap ka ng simple yet very effective solution. pero on the most part sa company, cheapest and best solution as possible ang hinahanap. Grin

Don't get discouraged and loose hope.
When I landed on an R&D job, I was not an ECE and even just an undergraduate.
Confidence and experience lang ang kailangan and you could prove and do what you have written on your resume.

Hobby ko lang ang electronics that time but was doing computer programming.
Grin

RnD for what?

Ang typical kasi na RnD companies eh is to research other companies' design, and re-design them or add additional components para wala ma-violate na patent.

Sa present time, I do not know of any company na talagang focused in developing new designs thru research from scratch sa Pilipinas....

RnD here is more on re-invent the wheel and add some bling bling..

May I ask if the sa FSSD's were developed here from scratch?

Or are they developed from scratch outside PI, brought here for testing and characterisation, then masked wafer were still made outside PI?

May waf fab na ba tayo? Sa pagkakaalam ko wala..

Sila ba nagpa-patent ng SSD nung 1995 or sila yung bumili nung patent?

So I guess, at least may totohanang RnD sa atin na nag-exist kahit papano, and i is very good to know that..

I just wonder, anung company ito?

And why name the patent under the researcher if he is being paid by the said company to do the said research..

I guess sa lahat ng company, there is always this agreement that anything you developed/created financed by the said company will be owned by that company.

Only a stupid organisation will give you ownership of something that they paid for you to make it for them.

Medyo nakakalito statement mo, I could have agreed na sana na meron nga tayo RnD.

May I ask, how can you say that your company had really created such SSD from scratch? Or your company just built the controller?

Kasi I know one company na ginagamitan ng microscope yung device ng ibang company for them to copy then modify...

So sainyo, from concept to completion?

yup, from concept to completion...
i guess there are some companies who gives credit to those who really did the thinking. hehe...
Smiley

Well that is good, I guess, you can share the said company to those who want to work in a real RnD scenario, at least they will know that RnD here in the Philippines is not focused in "to RnD" other companies' products.
