if you plan on using a simple temp controller... ok na yung 16f628 it has two comparators meaning dalawang sensor, and a heating(coil)/cooling(fan) relay controller..

for a complex one...

a pic 16f877a is the best choice... 8k program rom... pwede interface sa lcd and simple data logger too! pwede din mag lagay nang calendar sa program! alarm duration kung kelan sila pwede na hindi i incubate. mdami kang maging pwedeng ideas.

may zilog, atmel, at avr din kaya... madaming options..

also check philip's infrared lamps may datasheet din yung for installation. i think back 1995 may datasheet ako para talaga sa sisiw and poultry applications. they are relatively cheap, and professional looking. 400 pesos each bulb. gulp!

is it advisable to use water as humudity control for the incubator or is there anything we can use...?ahm the one that we proposed kasi was aquarium size and we will be using water as humidity control..

kung sobrang baba ng humidity, yup pwede ang tubig. depende nga lang sa method niyo kung ma-maintain 'yung temperature. naalala ko 'yung binanggit ni sir anthonydp na Bernoulli's Principle ang ginamit niya para mag-evaporate 'yung tubig pero maintained ang temperature (used for a cigar humidor).

     I remember nung sa mga project ng mga higher years namin. yung incubator nila gumagalaw yung egg tray sa loob. Gamit daw yun to shuffle the eggs. Kasi yong inahin sa totoong scenario rolls the egg para pantay yung head distribution. Kasi kung hindi baka maluto yung isang side nag egg. Pwede din naman cguro na manual ang egg shuffling.

     Nice Post sir! Ganun po ang ginawa ng higher years namin to shuffle the eggtrays. Mas magnda sa video dahil may holder each egg para hindi mabasag ng eggs. Nung sa amin walang holder and the eggs would roll.
   
     Mahirap din pala ang buhay ng sisiw sa mass production. Nakakahilo!

you could use a Triac to switch the Lamp.  A simple Triac phase control circuit will do.

dapat po kc every 1 hour nagpapalit sya ng ikot(counterclockwise then clockwise), then pwede rin po bang controllin kung gano katagal yung ikot nya..?

ask po ulet ahm anong sensor po ang pwedeng gamitin pra s heat n pag bumaba yung temperature s given temp nya eh mag on yung dimmer then pag tumaas nman yung temp nya eh mag on yung fan..ahm dapat po mamentain or stable yung given temp nya..

wala po kasi kming idea..kung may ckt din po kau pahingi n lang..tnx po..

i think di mo na kailangan nang stepper motor for driving the egg rotation a geared motor with limit switches is ok na ok na. it's much more easy to drive than steppers.

for the 1 hour timer madali na sa programming yan..

for temperature management madali na din yan sa mcu.

anong microcontroller plan nyo gamitin? zilog or pic.

about sa circuit madaming expert dito about it. pero we'll see. kung may time aq later.

IIRC, may nakapag-post na rin dito dati ng egg incubator.

madali lang 'yung control ng temperature. kung controlled talaga siya, 'di dapat mag-sindi ng fan kapag tumaas ang temperature, kailangan nakaka-adjust 'yung lamp (kailangan lang 'yung fan kapag biglang sobrang init ang araw - kung nasa labas ang incubator).

BTW, gumawa 'yung boss ko dati ng ganito, puro logic gates lang ang gamit. tama si sis martin, huwag ng stepper motor pahirap pa sa controls. geared motor na lang na may switch sa magkabilang dulo para malaman kung babalik na.

kasi po yung incubator n iprinopose nmin eh pra s lahat ng kinds of egg..yung ostrich po kasi eh is 97-99 degrees F..ang concern po nmin bka magkalamat or mbasag yung gagamitin nmin n glass..meron po bang ibang pwedeng gamitin pra s incubator bukod s glass..?tnx po...

pero why? kung pwede naman plastic chicken wires ang gamitin. during hatching dapat ata nasa trays na.... tulad nung nasa video sa taas.
