Electronics Engineer ----> finding the correct parts with the correct values.

Electronics Technician ---> finding the bad parts with the incorrect values.

Disagree, the company I work with have a country manager who graduated from a two year course in electronics technology.  And the company is a multinational one.

It only means that what you will become will be the result of your own decisions, judgment, and attitude.

Hmmm, during college ECE students have at least 2 years technology class, well at least during my days.  That's the time we got introduced to resistors, caps, transistors, oscilloscopes, tools, etc. heck they even teach us how to solder properly.  Then came the theories, wave analysis, furrier (tama ba?) transforms, and strength of materials (mechanical yata to hehehehe).

I believe Engineers and Technicians work together.  The Eng thinks about innovations, theories, design and the Tech finds out whats wrong using applied and hands on experience then repairs it, then report back to the Engineer so that the product can be improved.  Maybe, a good analogy would be doctors and nurses.

Ang engineering ay "FROM NOTHING TO SOMETHING"
Ang technician ay "FROM SOMETHING TO REALITY"

Sabi ng isang ECE noong unang panahon, gusto ko mag establish ng communication between manila and cebu.  Anong pwede kong gawin at gamitin?
