Example of underbidding - Let's say you offer yourself as a consultant for a certain project. So you submitted a quotation for your professional fees/services as an engineer. Then the purchasing officer on the company who owns the project showed you the quotation submitted by another engineer which is lower than yours. This is a clear violation of bidding rules so you SHOULD NOT lower your fees. The proper thing to do in this case is either keep your fees as they are and justify the higher fees you are charging or you back out of the bidding.

If the purchasing officer just asked for a discount without telling you the amount quoted by other engineers and you offered a discount that made your professional fees lower than the fees of other engineers, that is fine.


Giving credit where it is due - This means to be fair, you do not claim credit for the work of others. Example you are a senior engineer and a junior engineer came up with a very good idea that will save the company where you work a huge amount each year. If you are fair, you tell your boss that your junior engineer was the source of that idea and you make sure he is appreciated and rewarded for that idea. The unfair engineer will claim that idea as his own and will not tell his boss about the true owner of the idea.


Wire tapping is a violation of human right to privacy. it can never be legal unless the supreme court defines certain conditions where it can be considered legal.
