 Huh

We are planning kasi to do a delivery service, and instead na cellphone ang means of communication, I am contemplating in using CB radio.

Palagay nyo, which is better, cellphone or radio?

Thanks.

 Hi,
Cellphone will be far more effective in terms of range because the infrastructure/cell sites are already in place and diverse unlike kung CB limited ang range  unless you have repeater at saka kung text base lang naman ang mode of communication lalo pa mas mura.

radio is free. you could talk in a group. lesser chance of miscommunication or misunderstanding. in construction, taxi, government, security... if you want real time information. this is one option.

let's hear from our ece friends.

Wildswan:

I can get you new ones, a base and yung may magna mount na para sa kotse.  One base na mataas can serve as the central point. i reserve any inputs  tho on legalities.

This will depend sa coverage area ng delivery services nyo. kung within a municipality or town feasible yan. Kung within metro manila pwede ang vhf or uhf (base to mobile), kung base to handheld (5 watts portable w/ rubberduck antenna only) mahihirapan na 2-3 kms lang halos. CB (Class D) are very frown to interference as it uses AM band and causes interference also (kaya ni-banned ni macoy) especially sa channel 2 (abscbn), 2nd harmonic kasi ng cb frequencies. You may consider CB Class A or B UHF (yung gmrs, frs), fm na gamit doon kaya lang handheld lang pero no need for licenses or permits.

As Martin says the service is free (of course not the radio hehe...) and you can communicate instantly or disseminate information instantly.

Thanks for the input.

Basically, it will base to hadheld. Say may 3 ako delivery boys, bawat isa sa kanila meron. Coverage will be like a whole municipality and kapit-municipality.

Ilan ba ang radius ng isang base and handheld?

mura nalang mga vhf/uhf radios ngayon ang question is frequency allocation.
NTC license for commercial use mura lang kasi sa group namin 8k for base tapos 1k each handheld binayaran tapos renew every 3yrs mga 5k nalang kada 3yrs.
konti lang requirements nila.
seminar for operator sandali lang din one day lang.
